Sixteen. and Beautiful.

i was able to snap a few shots of my little cousin while hanging out in Cocoa Village. 

she's a fellow photog, so i figured i'd grab my lens and catch her on the other side!
and.....she's growing out her locks to donate them, for the 3rd time!

Stop, Drop, and Roll!

Thanks to the Palm Bay Fire Department and the awesome firefighters that came to our school to demonstrate the importance of fire safety and what to do in case of emergency, and also the amount of sacrifice it takes to be in public service.  

The kids went away saying "stop, drop and roll" and "911" and  loving their little pencils topped with fire engine and fire hat erasers.

ok. i'll admit it. i hate birds.  i mean really dislike birds greatly. and snakes. and other creepy creatures. however, being behind the lens gives me some sort of weird fearlessness.  not to mention, my Creator also created these little (and often sneaky, slimy, slithery BIG!) guys.  so...i will continue to snap pics of whatever comes my way, even if i go out of my way to get shot, in order to share His amazingness!

Milestones.....

i tend to get a bit apprehensive when it comes to big changes.  maybe it's the unsuredness; maybe it's the wide-open possibilities. whatever the reason, the big change that came in my little big-girl and her 1st day of school almost didn't phase me.  

i believe in her; i believe in God in her. and i believe this is just one of the many amazing milestones she's going to have throughout her life.
