'Pamper&Portrait Party': a Journey project

A while back, my bible study group from Covenant Presbyterian Church discussed possible ways in which to reach out to a local non-profit organization in Brevard county.  We came up with the idea of professionally styling hair/makeup (by Jessica Fadden, and a special thanks to Wendy, owner of Bangz Salon, for her help, along with Kimberly!) and taking portraits of young women who are currently living in a home that provides long-term housing for pregnant and/or single moms who are homeless or in transition.

I had the privilege to go alongside my friends yesterday for an enjoyable afternoon of hairspray and rouge, cake and lemonade, ham sandwiches and lots of  'film' (digital, of course!) with some sweet ladies.

Our number 1 goal was to make YOU feel lovely, and loved.  We genuinely hope each of you felt this!

Hello, Summer.....Hello, Crawfish Boil!

We spent the afternoon at Riverside Park in Vero Beach, stuffing our faces with crawfish flown in straight from Louisiana!
